We are very excited to announce that the HCC Famine is coming this April! This activity takes place at Holy Cross Collegiate on April 8/9 and is purely voluntary, directed at helping students fulfill the Lenten call for Christians to do works of prayer, fasting and almsgiving (charity). If your child is interested in attending the Famine this year, please be advised that a signed permission form and $10 participant donation are required. The form/fee has been attached as “optional” in Schoolcash. (If your child wishes to participate you complete the permission form and then pay all in one transaction.) Should a parent wish to make an additional donation, cheques payable to Chalice Canada can be accepted and will be forwarded to Chalice after the Famine. Chalice will provide a year-end tax receipt for those donations. Food donations for the post-Famine feast, and volunteers to help cook the feast, are greatly appreciated. The HCC Bands performed in the Alberta International Band Festival today with guest conductor Mr. John Phillips! The highlight of the day was when Mr. Phillips called the composer of one of our pieces so we could say hi to him!! ❤️🎶 Bravo everyone!! 👏 Go Hawks Go!
