Bishop McGrattan has called a fast in the Diocese of Calgary to occur Tuesday, October 17th. This is in response to the global request of the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Pierbattista Cardinal Pizzaballa, in addressing the war that has arisen in the Holy Land. The call is for a day of fasting, abstinence, and prayer. HCC students and staff will join together to pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary for the intention of peace in the Holy Land. Also, staff and students are invited to fast and abstain from read meat - spiritual practice that Our Lord recommends as powerful for the performance of good works.
