HCC, you have far surpassed our expectations for the Food Drive! We are proud of all your efforts! Please be assured that many will benefit from your generosity. Our junior high bought in 2102 items and the high school students surpassed this total, contributing 3055 items. This is a total of 5157 food items from our school being donated to our local foodbank! Our top class, 20-1 English, contributed 982 items to the food drive. Our second place class, 7A, was not far behind, bringing in 922 items. Both classes will be rewarded with a field trip to the firehall, where the fire department will cook them a bbq. Our grade 12’s also had an amazing effort contributing towards the food drive. Their leadership in the school was inspiring! They raised a total of 1470 items, amounting to 735 per class. We are very proud of the initiative they took in this final week. Their efforts and enthusiasm motivated other classes to bring in more items, significantly impacting the success of the food drive. The 12’s will be rewarded with a pizza party here at school. We had several other top classes who contributed over 300 items to the drive: 7B, 9B, and 10 Connor, your entire classes will also receive a tasty treat for your efforts and to recognize your contributions. #weareHCC #hccgives
