VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS THIS WEEK
Mark your calendars! #saycheese
The Magdalena Society is starting up again next week, and we would love to have any young women at HCC to join us. Last year we learned so much, made some great friends, and had many inspiring conversations. This year, we will continue our study on Women of Influence in the bible, and explore applications for our own lives. If you are a young woman at HCC who wants to spend some time studying God's word, and also make some new friends, we encourage you to join us. We meet every Tuesday at lunch. Our first meeting will be Tuesday September 13th in Mrs. Bisharat’s room. We hope to see you there!
On September 15th, our Grade 12 class will be going to the Locked Room and the Rec Room. They will leave the school at 10:00 and leave Calgary at 2:00. The permission form is on School Cash, and the grad fee will help offset the cost. We need the form completed in order for your child to attend. The deadline is September 9.
Each year we like to try and do something fun for our students in September, last year we went to Cobbs Adventure Park. This year, grades 7-11 will go to the zoo! We will leave the school at 8:45 and leave the zoo at 2:00. The cost will be $20 and that covers transportation and admission to the zoo. The permission form will be through school cash and the $20 fee is paid through school cash as well. We need the form completed and the fee paid online in order for your child to attend. The deadline is September 9 as we have to pre-purchase tickets.
Our school is looking at travelling to Italy during Easter of 2023. This is an amazing and popular trip and one we have done before so we are excited to be able to offer it again. Typically we would have a 2 year period to sign up but this time it is a little different for obvious reasons. This is an HCC school trip that is overseen and approved by our board and open to current grade 10’s 11’s and 12’s and their parents. If you have specific questions about insurance or general inquiries, please contact EF tours (1-800-262-2806) with the tour code: 2508422HC.
Congratulations to Mickaela Boll! Mickaela was awarded the first annual Alberta Band Association (ABA) Mike W. Achtymichuk Memorial Scholarship! Check out our stories for a link to an article on her achievement!
